I’ve slowly been making each room of our home over since we moved in over a year ago now… The one room that needs the most attention at this point is our master bedroom.
I know… a little underwhelming… Although our bed frame is lovely, it was a hand me down from the hubs’ parents. It has pretty much lived out it’s useful life at this point. The dresser was also a hand me down that doesn’t match and yes… those ARE plastic nightstands left over from my cheap-o college bedroom.
If you were to look into the room from the doorway you’d see this…
As you can see our ‘blackout’ curtain setup… doesn’t really work so well. Hence, the glowing sunlight shining around each window…
Overall, the entire room is just drab and the drabness really tends to discourage use.
So with a little help from World Market I’ve dreamed up a more colorful , useful look for our master bedroom!

I started with the bright bed collection set and added in brightly colored accessories to match! I love to read so using the bookshelf and fun chair to create a reading nook in one corner of our master would make it more inviting and useful! The room itself is fairly large so the tall shelf would draw your eye up to the high ceiling, but still leaving plenty of space to spare!
