Sauerkraut and Lit’l Smokies Recipe

My life has changed a lot since having my baby girl in July. It seems like I have more to get done in a single day now than I ever had to do in a week before… I’m assuming most busy moms feel like that. Especially moms who work either from or away from the home. There’s the little ones to care for, the home to tend, a job… And that’s all before lunchtime even rolls around. Mommas out there?? Am I right??

One of the ways I cut down on the busyness is by making quick and easy recipes for lunch or dinnertime. One of my go to, all time favorite easy recipes is Sauerkraut and Lit’l Smokies. Seriously, there is nothing easier than this!!!

Sauerkraut and Lit'l Smokies Recipe

It requires only two ingredients plus a dash of salt and pepper; a jar of sauerkraut and a package of Lit’l Smokies. The Chedder Lit’l Smokies from Hillshire Farm are my favorite!!

quick and easy lunch recipe

Literally all you have to do is drain some of the juice off the jar of sauerkraut, then pour it and the package of Lit’l Smokies into a skillet.

Sprinkle the entire thing with a little salt and pepper. Let the skillet heat on medium-high until the smokies are warmed all the way through… About 5-8 minutes or so.

Then serve! I like to eat mine in a bowl for lunch by itself or served with bread and butter for dinner.

Hillshire Farm Lit'l Smokes and Sauerkraut

I purchased the ingredients for this quick and easy recipe at Safeway. This week, if you’re signed up for their “Just for U” program you will save $3 when you buy 3 Hillshire Farm products. That includes those yummy Hillshire Farm Cheddar Lit’l Smokies!!

If you’re not a sauerkraut fan… Cause let’s be honest, people tend to either love it or hate it, it seems… 😉 You can find all kinds of other yummy recipes at the Hillshire Farm website here. OR you can follow Hillshire Farm on Facebook and Twitter.

Your turn: What’s your favorite quick and easy recipe?? AND/OR are you/aren’t you a sauerkraut fan??

Bloggie Bestie – Britney of Live Out Loud

Hey dolls! Let’s welcome a fun new Bloggie Bestie!
Britney has been our blog friend for a long time now… And she rocks! :)
By the way, I’m sharing over at her place, Live Out Loud today… hope you’ll stop by!
Take it away Britney!!!

____________

Well hello there followers of this cool blog, aka Truly Lovely.  I am so excited to be a bloggie bestie here, it has been a dream of mine for like ever!  Kassi and Kayli’s new tag line…..
Making bloggers dreams come true one post at a time!  {Kassi here, LOVE IT!! 😉} Thank you girls for having me here today.

My name is Britney, you can call me Brit, B, babe, hottie, hottie B, whateve I am easy.  You can find me here, blogging about stuff and life.  I know they, they as in the expert bloggers, say you should pick a theme and ride it out, but that doesn’t work for me or my blog, so you will find pretty much anything and everything that I find interesting on that day.  Like a buffet of blog posts, AYCE, of course.

My family and I recently moved to Singapore and I have been experimenting with new Asia like recipes, and I was so excited to share some thing new and fabulous with you on here today, but this got in the way.

That is my MIL, my little J, and me on an elephant in Thailand.  We just got back, and by just I mean 4 days ago.  My kids have eaten Mac-and-Cheese for dinner the last four nights.  Although I do make a mean Mac-and-Cheese, I doubt that you would appreciate a tutorial on it.  Instead how about I tell you about my addiction to dipping fruit in chocolate.  I will dip pretty much anything and everything, fruit related, in the dark sweet goodness.  Here is my latest creation.

Pear, pineapple, and banana, on a toothpick because I’m fancy like that.  I could break it down, but I won’t insult your intelligence.

Fruit.

Chocolate.

Dip.

Eat.

Easy as that.  Not quite an Asian master piece, if you want of of those, check this out, but it is what I can muster the energy to do,  and here is a confession, it wasn’t even originally my idea.  I saw it here first.  Of course, they used strawberries, I would love to use strawberries, but since all the strawberries here come from the USA, and that means they are super expensive.  Greedy Americans, keeping all the berries for themselves.  Since I slacked on this post, maybe my kids will have something other than noodles and powder cheese for dinner, maybe not though.

A huge thanks to Kayli and Kassi for letting me and my elephant invade their space!  I hope to see you all over here soon.  We can swap recipes and compare cleavage pictures.  What, you don’t do that.  Oh, just the recipes then that will be fun too.  Later gators!  XOXO

Isn’t she awesome! :) She’s been sharing some really sweet posts about Singapore here lately… This one and this one are some of my favorites!

Hope you’ll check out Britney’s blog and let her know we sent you! :)

FRESCHETTA Simply Inspired Pizza Review and GIVEAWAY

This post brought to you by FRESCHETTA®. All opinions are 100% mine.

My fiance and I love a good pizza at our house!
Especially one that you can take out of the fridge, pop in the oven and have a tasty dinner ready in less than 20 minutes!! That’s why I am SO excited to share a review and giveaway of the new
FRESCHETTA® Simply…Inspired™ pizzas

I was given the opportunity by the makers of FRESCHETTA Pizza to try out one of their new eight distinctive flavor varieties and share my experience with you all!
Being that each flavor is unique and interesting, I had trouble deciding which one to try!
I literally stood in front of the freezer at my grocer forever choosing my flavor!

I finally decided on the Limited Edition Chicken Bianco pizza!

The pizza was SUPER easy to prepare! I was especially impressed with their new FRESH-TASTE SEAL Packaging! It was WAY cooler than your old run of the mill pizza box!! It locks in the vibrant flavors of the pizza all while using 30% less packing material!
You just peel the top back and your pizza is ready for the oven!

It smelled SO delicious cooking that I had to try a bite before the pizza could even make it to the table!

Crispy pizza crust is my favorite, so I LOVE the Thin & Crispy crust style of the Chicken Bianco!
The pizza itself was SO GOOD!!! My fiance even liked it and he’s a SUPER picky eater!
We felt like we were eating a gourmet restaurant pizza!
The toppings were unique, and so tasty! Red peppers, black olives, spinach and the chicken!!
I really enjoyed the signature Alfredo sauce!! My fiance thought it was tasty as well, and he usually doesn’t go for anything but tomato sauce on pizza!

Needless to say, we enjoyed trying something new, and were excited that it met our craving for something out of the ordinary!

Now, it’s YOUR turn to try out a FRESCHETTA Simply Inspired Pizza!!!

My First Work Christmas Party…

This last Friday was my VERY, FIRST EVER “real world” Work Christmas Party.
I mean, since graduating from college and getting a “real” job!
So of course… I was hoping to make a good impression!
The invite said to bring…
1) A Guest
2) White Elephant Gift $15 Value
3) Dessert or Appetizer
So I brought…
1) My sweetheart of a fiance as my guest… 😉
Even though he was REALLY hesitant to go… Not his thing!

2) A Heavenly Plug-in and Embers Scentsy Bar for my Gift!
(I sell Scentsy as one of my many ongoing adventures! Check out my website here!!)
3) Chocolate No Bake Cookies! My first attempt at them by the way! And I think they were delicious!!! :)
Armed with my newly acquired Christmas jewelry from AliLilly, I feel like my first “real” job Christmas party was a SUCCESS!!! At least I had a really good time, and so did my fiance! And I acquired a sweet set of makeup in the gift I ended up with from the gift exchange!! So win, win!!! :)
AliLilly Christmas Bracelet
AliLilly Christmas Earrings
I wrapped my gift in a red gift bag, and cut out some poinsettias from some wrapping paper I had left over… Just for something extra… :) I think everything turned out very nice!
And thanks to Wal-Mart for the $3 dessert carrier! :)
Any work Christmas parties happening for you this year?? What did you take??
