Fancy This Fridays 125 and Features!

Hey there Friday!! So nice to see you! 😉 In case you missed it, this week I shared a vent or two about pregnancy and a fun mocktail party that I hosted as a DOT Girls member of Crowdtap.

Last week we had all kinds of fun link ups. Here are the features from Fancy This 124….

First up we have a list of 5 Things I’ll Never Buy Again from Danielle of Snippets of Inspiration. They include things like homemade salsa, cream of soup replacement, etc. Each is linked to her recipe for making it yourself. This could be a huge money saver!!!

5-things-i-will-never-buy-again-450x450

Sticking with the list theme for our second feature, Gaye of Calm Healthy Sexy shared her list of 16 Fun and Healthy Date Ideas. Now who doesn’t need a new date idea once in awhile!?!

DateIdeas

And certainly not least on the list is our final feature of the week… I’m sharing this one for two reasons. First it is the cutest Little Girls’ Room design, and second Sarah of A Little of This, A Little of That had an idea of what she wanted for her girls room, but wasn’t sure how to go about making it happen. So she enlisted the help of a design team and got exactly what she wanted. I think in some cases we try to DIY everything as bloggers, which is great, but sometimes it doesn’t turn out exactly like we hoped… In other words, it’s totally ok to ask for help from a professional once in awhile!!!

Here’s a Featured on Truly Lovely button for you three mentioned above! Hope you’ll grab one and share it over at our own blogs! 😉
Don’t forget each of these features gets pinned to our !! Check it out for past features and some fun ideas!!

Fancy This Fridays 121 and Features

Happy Friday! In case you missed it this week I shared a solution for all those keepsake greeting cards and I talked about marking The Color Run off my 20 wishes list. This weekend both Kayli and I will be marking off another wish when we see George Strait in his farewell concert tour. Excited about that!!! And I’ll be taking the kiddos home (the niece and nephew that have been visiting for their Spring Break) so I’m sure my house will be much too quiet over the next few days… How about you? Any fun weekend plans? Any work happening on your 20 wishes list?? We’d love to have you write one and join us if you’d like!

Now onto the features from the 120th Fancy This Fridays linky party!!!

First up, Mandy from Hong Kong Chic made a fun denim tablet case. She even attached a shoulder strap so she can carry it with her while traveling!

Next, how cute is this personalized case of crayons from Tamara at Etcetorize! She even shows you how to personalize the box!!

And last but not least, Jerri of Simply Sweet Home shared a delicious recipe for homemade carrot cupcakes. They sound so yummy!

Pen Pal Exchange

Did you ever have a pen pal when you were growing up? Someone you exchanged letters, cards or postcards with? I know I did as a young girl and it was something I’ve always remembered and wanted to do again! We all get crap mail most of the time so wouldn’t it be fun to have something exciting to look forward to getting besides all those bills, flyers and grocery ads?! We think so!

Chrissy from A Lil Dash of Diva and I have teamed up to bring you a Pen Pal Exchange!

The Rules:

You must send your Pen Pal a letter, card or postcard at least once per month during the exchange period

This is meant to be a letter, card or postcard exchange only. There are no packages and min/max amount of cash to spend. If you want to send a small trinket to your Pen Pal that is totally up to your discretion but it is not a requirement or even a suggestion.

If you have a child who would like a pen pal, please let us know and we will do our best to pair them up with another child to partner with for the exchange.

The exchange period will last 3 months at a time. Our hope is that you will connect with your Pen Pal and make a new friendship that will blossom and grow over time. You are encouraged to connect through following your pen pals blog, Facebook, Twitter and any other social media you’d like. You can exchange texts and emails too if you’d like but none of these are required to participate!

*If this first round goes well, we will be continuing with another round with new PenPal partners.
*Please help us spread the word about the PenPal exchange!

Love is….

Hey there pretties! How’s your week so far??

So, do you know our girl Kristine of The Foley Fam? You most certainly should… She’s got a place of honor over there on our sidebar, sponsor section.

<—– Over that way… and down a little. 😉

Any who, today she’s hosting a Love Is…. link up. She wants to know what love looks like in your house! {Her hubs’ name is Nate, too. What a coincidence right!? :) And they are just adorable together…}

So here’s my love is contribution… :)

Love is… waiting all day for that phone call from Nate that he’s on his way home from work. Best part of my day!

Love is… instant messages to my momma while she’s working and I’m working during the day. It’s how we keep in touch during our work hours.

Love is… a little black doggie always at my feet. I think she’s a little co-dependent… 😉

Love is… a sweet text message from the hubs during the day. He only gets to text me around lunchtime while he’s working.

Love is… back scratches before bed.

Love is… planning for our sweet little bundle to be.

What does love look like in your house?

Thursday Obsessions with Glued to My Crafts

Hey there lovelies!!! We have a fun treat for this week’s Bloggie Bestie!!!
Meet Stacey of Glued to My Crafts!
She’s here to share her Thursday Obsessions Link up Party!
We invite you to check out her post below, then link up YOUR own Obsessions post!
I’m sharing mine over at her place today as well!
Take it away Stacey….
___________________________________________________________

Hello everyone! I’m Stacey and I blog over at Glued To My Crafts. I’m pretty excited to be “stealing” Kassi & Kayli’s blog for the day. Let me start with introducing myself. I’m a mother to a nearly two year old boy, who keeps me on my toes and inspires a lot of my posts. I’m also a wife to a wonderful man serving in the Air Force. I’m a girly-girl who loves cooking, crafting and inspiring. Ok, the last one is more of a “I hope I inspire you.” My blog is mainly about life experiences, recipes and craft creations. Everything I post can be recreated with simple, everyday items you probably already have in your house. Even though I’m a shopaholic, I’m all about saving money and using what you have already. I don’t spend a lot to be crafty, and neither should you.

Every Thursday, on my blog, I host a linkup party called “Thursday Obsessions.” I basically answer some silly questions and pick a favorite linkup from the previous week, that I’m obsessing over. Then anyone and everyone, can link up their obsessions, creations or recipes. Today we are a taking a spin on it together and swapping blogs to share our obsessions. I’m sharing my obsessions on their blog today, while they are sharing theirs on mine. I hope you get inspired by some of the linkups and of course link up your own!

Obsessively Loving– Jewelry; especially earrings. I feel naked if I leave the house without any on.

Obsessively Reading– For once in a long time, I’m able to finally sit down at night and read a book. The choice this week? Donna Kauffman’s Book Babycakes. (A Cupcake Club Romance) I admit it, I picked it up because it had cupcakes on the front. So far, so good.

Obsessively Watching– Dance Moms on Lifetime. Like any reality show, it’s probably all staged. As a mother, I know I wouldn’t put up with “Miss” Abby Lee. But then again, fame & money makes you put up with anything.

Obsessively Anticipating – Sad to say, my son’s birthday in a little over 2 weeks away. We’re going to go to Denver to celebrate. I still can’t believe he will be TWO. I know I will cry and be in denial that day. Probably eating a lot of cake & ice cream to drown my sorrows. And I’m an ugly crier, so it won’t be pretty.

Obsessively Listening- Silence. This isn’t the first time I have written this and probably not the last. Naptime is golden. So is silence.

Obsessively Waiting on– My husband to get ready for we can do some food shopping. He takes more time to get ready than I do.

Obsessively Wishing- Taxes didn’t go up this year. My husband’s paycheck was nearly $200 short. What the crap? And he got a pay raise! Way for them to mess with our budget. It’s not like we wanted to live a little.

Obsessively Needing– Food. We have decided to do more “clean” eating and live a healthy lifestyle this year. Which means lots of trips to the grocery store because fresh stuff does not last long. Sucks because it seems like it costs more in the end to eat healthy. BTW, hate Walmart with a passion.

Obsessively Crafting– Toddler Crafts for my Break Cabin Fever series, as well as a ton of Valentine’s Day crafts for a linkup party I have coming up. My craft room looks like someone threw up construction paper & glitter.

Sunday Confessions on a Monday

Hey there dolls! How was your weekend??
First things first I’m sharing a unique gift wrap idea over at Jen’s place today while she’s off gallivanting in Australia. Can you say jealous… ?!?! Anyway… Hope you’ll pop over and check it out.

So how about a confession or two… Start this week with a clean slate, eh? 😉 Linking up over here, FYI.

1. I have been incredibly lazy lately. Boom. But it’s the truth… I spent 98% of my weekend on the couch watching TV with the hubs. He has an excuse… he had to work Saturday night… But I didn’t. I slept. We did get our Christmas lights up. And went on a DQ run… Candy Cane Chill blizzard, anyone?! Yes, please.

2. Did you read Alyx’s post today? You should. I’m so with her there. I’m over the blog stress. The worrying about getting more people to come follow our blog, to comment on our posts. The ones who do, we’re incredibly grateful for you and don’t know what we’d do without you. To those that don’t… well, you’re missing out. Truly Lovely rocks. 😉 But I no longer feel the need to pay $xxx amount of dollars to get you to come see for yourself.

3. This working from home thing has REALLY messed up my getting dressed mojo… This was the only good outfit I put on last week… and I only wore it a little while. The rest of the week I wear jeans and a t-shirt. Or work out clothes… which consists of mainly sweat pant capris and a t-shirt.

4. I try to workout at least three days a week. Today should be day one this week… I’m not gonna do it. See confession #1.

5. I get discouraged about commenting on other blogs. If I comment at your place several times a week and throughout that week you never once make it over to see what I’m up to… OR at the very least reply to the comment I left at your place… I’m done. I won’t be going back. This blog world is about sharing and interacting. If you don’t interact BACK with me, then I won’t try interacting with you anymore. See confession #2.

What do you have to confess this week?

Twenty Wishes List Link Up

Hey there lovelies!
Thanks for stopping by to join us! If you missed it, here’s a little more about WHY we’ve created the 1 Year 20 Wishes project!

Truly Lovely

Truly Lovely

Kayli and I have both shared our lists of 20 wishes for this next year; Kayli’s List, Kassi List. So we invite you to share yours with us now.
Again, in December we’ll host our first monthly progress link up. Don’t worry if you haven’t made any progress by then… You have a whole year.
But we really encourage you to start checking off those wishes!

Also, if you can’t think of an entire list of 20 wishes, we would still love for you to link up what you have. You can always add more later.

As you can see the first few in the link up here are our co-hosts. If you’d be interested in hosting a progress link up with us, let us know!
We aren’t requiring you to follow anybody, visit anybody, or anything else really. The point is for you to have a place to share and work towards accomplishing those things you really want to do. Although, we do hope that if you’re looking for a new bloggie friend you’ll check out the ladies in our list… We love them all and you will too. :)

OK….. tell us lovelies… What do you WISH for?
